>new job, new life

so, it's been a while since i posted my last entry. a lot has happened since then. most importantly, i have found myself working for a regional airline. to protect the identity of the innocent, i won't say which one...the only thing i will say is that it is based at dfw...oops, i've said too much.
so i am in the middle of my groundschool training for the ERJ and will be flying out of chicago o'hare until may 1, at which time, according to the most recent flow plan, i will get to fly reserve from my home city at dfw!!
i have about a week left in groundschool, which will conclude with an aural test and then on to my sim training. by early february, it will be ioe (initial operating experience) for me and then time to start making the big bucks...ha ha not really.
i am taking a break from my studying on the systems. we have our written test on tuesday. one thing that is becoming obvious is that a pilot's life is always filled with tests, checkrides and more tests. i guess this is the price to pay to be in a profession where we are responsible for the safety and lives of many. i am glad to finally reach this stage in my career. i interviewed for the job on Nov 14th, found out that i got it on december 6th and started training on december 11th. yes, i have been busy, but wanted to update those who might be interested.

chech this out, this is pretty hilarious:

Hey Clint, I gave up on you on blogspot some time ago. Came here via Aviation Mentor...
good to find you active back here!
Sure looks like you're on your way to your goal.
Good luck with your training!
