Trying to Stay Positive

I really am trying my hardest to stay out of depression since Obama won the election. I'm not surprised at the results, however let me remind you that 56 million other Americans share my sentiments: this is a fact that the mainstream media has failed to highlight. Yes Obama won; however he did not sweep the popular vote-the media paints him as an overwhelmingly popular pick for President, yet there are a huge percentage of Americans who voted to keep Obama out of office..
The one good thing that comes from Obama's election, is that within four years we will see him for who he really is-full of lies, empty promises and questionable American values. At the end of four years, many Americans who have put so much hope in this one man will be severely dissapointed and disillusioned with our political process. Until then, unfortunately we will all have to suffer the consequences of electing Obama as the leader of the free world-and we are in for a ride, especially with a severe recession at hand.
I am going to do everything I can to keep an open mind, support my president with all of his tough decisions and remain positive. But those who voted for Obama and are reading this-don't say we didn't warn you. The price of ignorance could lead to many shattered hopes and dreams for millions of Americans and the change Obama brings could alter the America we all know and love.

Anonymous-Your right!! And I would do it again a third time, because he has stood against media criticism and protected us from another terrorist attack. Why? Because he's toughand has values and convictions. The world knows that if you screw with the U.S. while Bush is in charge, there will be consequences...Obama is weak and the world knows it.

Aren't you a christian?

I don't really see why asking about my faith has anything to do with my opinions about Obama. I am, however, glad to see that you have taken the time read my past blogs.
If you would like to challenge me on my beliefs, I'm open to that; but its inappropriate to try to attack my faith as an anonymous post just because you disagree with my political views. I think it would show some fortitude to identify yourself if you want to take a shot at my faith.

I was just referring to your use of the derogative is all. But I see you changed it, so all is good.

Yeah, I thought about it and it bothered me and realized I wrote it when I was pretty angry so I changed it.
Thanks for keeping me honest...but I'm still not a fan of anonymous posts.

I most certainly agree that anonymous posts are rather ridiculous. I will say that this anonymous person that has been leaving these comments most certainly voted for Obama. As you stated about Bush: "Because he's tough and has values and convictions. The world knows that if you screw with the U.S. while Bush is in charge, there will be consequences..." Obama supporters don't understand convictions and values. If the anonymous poster was so adamant about what is right (about Obama) and wrong (about Bush), they probably wouldn't have a problem revealing who they are. My point in all of this is that the majority of Americans do not know the real issues. As I spend several hours a day trying to stay connected with current events I would be willing to bet that 90%+ of Americans don't spend that much time trying to get to the bottom of what is really going on in this world. These same people have the right to vote (unfortunately) even though a vast majority of them think that the government needs to give them more. If others spent the time to see what was going on, maybe, just maybe they would see the value of what Bush has done for America. Mark my words - Bush will be recognized as one of our greatest presidents’ years down the road. America for the most part is complacent and out of touch with reality. Obama will prove my point in the next four years! BTW: What does being a Christian have anything to do with this discussion?
